Pictures from the garden today.

Here are a few pictures from the garden today.

Nice dragonfly, close up, before it flew away.

It flew onto a nearby palm tree.

Been trying to get good depth of field using the Canon IXUX 80 IS digital macro function, it does not seem to be working though, if anyone has any good tips, let me know.

Again digital macro, these flowers are very small, about 6mm across, so the macro is doing a good job, but again the depth of field is not very good.

Macro Photography

Here are some more pictures we took, using the Canon IXUS 80 IS. We used the digital macro setting from the function menu.

Ants get angry when you take their picture.

Ants building a new home, they are clever little f****rs. Look at the way they are holding the leaves together.

And of course our infamous "flies f*****g" picture, this is real, no CGI, we actually watched these flies getting it on, and yes, we felt dirty afterwards.

Some Pictures

Been playing around with a Canon IXUS 80 IS, it's a nice camera, fits in your pocket and has lots of features.

Digital macro photo of ants taking a little black ladybird home, for dinner.

Ants don't like the paperazzi

A very shiny green bug.

Nice moth on the wall.

A lizard on a tree.

And here is a time lapse video of the wind blowing leaves and flowers in a swimming pool. Only just started playing around with the time lapse function on the IXUS, it has limitations, but with a bit of experimenting we are sure to come up with some interesting stuff.

Not Quite A Zed and Two Noughts, but we are learning.

A dragonfly in flight.

What is this monkey thinking about?
